Getting Started with your New iPad
Before we actually get started, I want you to realize three things that I heard over and over during an iPad conference that I attended. First, the iPad is NOT a replacement for the computer. The iPad has its own unique role for educators and I will try to cover those on this wiki. Second, Apple insists that there is no such thing as an iPad 2 or 3 or Air.... it is simply an IPad... and you have the most up-to-date versions. However, let's hear what Apple has to say about the iPad Air:

Now you'll need to set up your iPad. Luckily for me, I really don't need to write much on this page... Apple has done it all for me. First, there's the website that you can link to below. Notice, however, that there are different sections, depending on 1) If this is you are a first time user of an iPad or similar device... or 2) If you have already owed and set up a previous device. Also notice that you will have a choice for whether to not to use ICloud. So read on... let me know if you have any questions.
